Did Serzh Sargsyan complain about selling of weapons by Russia to Azerbaijan for making the Europeans heard?

March 19,2015 15:31

“Heritage” party Vice-President Armen Martirosyan said that Serzh Sargsyan’s statement as of today regarding the sale of weapons by Russia to Azerbaijan is due to the change of the position of the government. Note that the President had said, “selling of the Russian weapon to Azerbaijan “may have a bad effect on the Armenian-Russian relations.” Mr. Martirosyan found it difficult to say what caused changing the position. “Maybe currently there are many Europeans here, therefore he said that or there are other considerations related to the constitutional reform, I cannot say.” In his words, such a practice by the Russian side required a response from the government. “We have constantly said and warned about this obvious fact. Nowhere in the world you would see such a situation when the strategic partner that has a military base in a country, sells weapons to the opponent of its strategic partner.”
