After the defeat away to Albania in the Euro 2016 qualifier, returning to Armenia, Armenia’s national football team chief coach Bernard Challandes submitted an application of resignation to Ruben Hayrapetyan, which the FFA president accepted.

The Chief coach Bernard Challandes was notable for his being untalented. He was obliged to refresh the game by making replacements after the first half and change the course of the match. But Challandes thinking of himself to be a football chef has again forgotten to add salt to the salad.”
Davit Avaverdyan – Mediamax: “In my opinion, our team lost first of all physically, and only then, tactically. It is the regular game where we miss kicking a goal in the last moments of the match, when our football players instead of running literally were walking in the field, and the chief coach is not making necessary replacements. The guys seemed to be a sort of tired. I assume that it is the result of poor physical training of the coach. But the main guilty is Bernard Challandes who had invited this coach.”
