 As a “believer”

April 15,2015 11:50

According to a report from Gallup international organization among all countries, Armenia is the second by the number of believers, as 93% of the population is presented as a believer. Of course, some people question the integrity of the organization, but in this case I am inclined to believe that 93% of Armenians claimed to have religious feelings. Another question is whether these statements are genuine. To answer this question, I suggest a mental experience. Suppose witnesses during the trial are offered to place hand on the Bible and swear to tell the truth, only the truth and nothing but truth. The one who considers himself a «believer» swears. Observe, please, what percentage of that 93 percent is capable of lying without eye blink after the oath. Moreover, those who are  potentially capable of breaking the oath on the Bible sincerely believe that they are  truly faithful as they are baptized, they go to church and even may happen to know  the pray «Our Father». But their faith is very suspicious to me, as well as the faith of all Armenians, whose ideology is based on cheating and «picking» or vice versa.

Meanwhile Gallup international reports that only 7 percent of Communist China’s identifies himself with any religion, while 61 percent announced themselves to be an atheist. I assume that even these «atheists`» worldview is based on Buddhism, on the teachings of Confucius and Taoism even if they are not capable of understanding these teachings. It seems to me there is a religious flavor in the different fields of Chinese people: education, work, public order and respect towards the society.

According to the same study, Israel is also considered to be a particularly «religious» country. But regardless of the nation`s religious fanaticism, they have the Talmud, a book that is not only religious but also legislative collection which carries respect of the centuries. Perhaps, this is the reason why Israel has no constitution.

As for Armenia, I would like at least 40 per cent of our people were true believers. But it is necessary that the truth of the «Bible» is carried into domestic, social and political «spheres ».

We have not even come close to that issue.  Buddhists say «Don`t tear the leaves of the evil tree, still the new ones will grow. Try to root the tree. »
