Turkoloigist Andranik Ospiryan thinks that a resolution passed by the European Parliament yesterday condemning the Armenian Genocide will have its results years later.
-“Indeed, it has no legal force and cannot bind anything to Turkey, but it will pave the way for the future of the Turkish authorities to provide certain obligations”- said the expert to Aravot .am.
According to him, all the items of the resolution are important, well-developed and this decision has been Turkish diplomacy`s heavy defeat in the European Parliament.
-“Turkey has lost control against the recognition of the Genocide, it has already been stated that the Turkish side is going to be serious enough to convince the Obama administration not to sound term Gebnocide on April 24”.

According to Andranik Ospiryan, Turkey is in despair after the response of the international community and if the PACE Resolution was out of sudden, according to him, the Turks could not have imagined such statements of Vatican.
-“Resolution was expected, because the day before the European Parliament Vice openly said that they judge not today’s Turkey but the Ottoman Empire. Turkey was ready for it, and in fact, before leaving for Kazakhstan Erdogan said, we will pretend not to have heard it. Despite the critical responses of the Turkish authorities’ it is clear they are hopeless and make meaningless statements. Their statements are as meaningless as their steps. ”
