Azat Arshakyan-“Of course we need but only conversation is not enough. It is submitted that Armenia is presented in all possible options, especially these days.

Haik Kirakosyan- You see. I think that support should be, of course, but first I must say that self-criticism does not mean to make public our problems and to show all the neighbors, that is, I do not agree with the “let people say what they want to say”. We are neither Alla Pugacheva, nor a nation that doesn`t have any values. I think we don’t have lack of attention. I met on the Internet calculations of how many millions have benefited from this or that person`s visit but I did not see any count on how many billions were benefited by Komitas during this period, as a global factor.
A.A –Do stars not only Kim Kardashyan, but also, say, George Clooney, Vladimir Spivakov, or, Beyonce bring us benefit while visiting our country.
H.K– Some of them visit us not to bring any benefit but to make their PR and this shocking behavior is typical of the stars. The same person can go to Turkey next year and announce that “Turks are my brothers “.Are we ready to give an answer for the one who we have so warmly received.
A.A – Let us imagine Kim Kardashyan goes to Istanbul tomorrow and tells “Turks are my brothers”. What are we to do?
A.Arsh. – Istanbul going is bad, because Kim Kardashyan is originally from Western Armenia, by going to Turkey she will show the whole world and to the Turkish citizens:Turkish political elite is a self-harming society. What happened to Western Armenia: Genocide is a kind of self-harming policy for the Turkish state. It is meaningless for Kim Kardashyan to go to Istanbul and tell “Turks are my brothers”. But there are those who live in Turkey, for example, Hrant Dink who was killed, it’s not considered cheating, it is our homeland, our occupied homeland.
A.A – Does it mean that we must not have any complexes of inferiority?
H.K. – Here there is no issue of complexes and the policy to satisfy all is useless, such policy leads us to disaster. If it happened in the material world, then it will also be true in spiritual world. If we don`t have a set of values that has helped us so far and believe that other values will bring us benefit, the same situation will be.
A.A- Are we talking about ads or about values?
H.K. – Of course, we’re talking about values. Does it advertise Armenia when 10-15 years old girls shout “Kim, Kim”, in front of the hotel. We overestimated the impact of the global media, without taking into consideration that while we rejoice that this event has brought us dividends, though I am not sure about that, the Turks took care to represent approximately the same event: thus, the prodigal was welcomed with bread and salt, like a queen.
