The RA artist Jivan Gasparyan will perform as soloist in the “24/04” Orchestra “Renaissance” concert, which will take place on April 24 at Republic Square. The Master says that art is the most compelling thing that can affect people.
-“I played at many places, for example in Istanbul; you should have seen how the Turks were listening to music. After a few concerts when I came to Yerevan, the Armenian Genocide Museum director said that after my concert many Turks went to Genocide Memorial”.
Jivan Gasparyan decided to do things which would correspond to the symbol of the day.
-“I may play “Let the crane call” with a little improvisation or “Kele lao”. Everything cannot be played: such a thing should be played which symbolizes that day. But we must not weep, though we know how to weep”.
The master says that he is not involved in politics, but he knows that by means of high art can often be done more.
– “Art is a wonderful thing; it speaks with a human soul.”
