The famous GUCCI brand family member Laura Gucci will arrive in Armenia. Laura Gucci will be in Armenia on June 8-11 to attend the international conference of “New developments prospects” organized by the Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) and the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs. In the conversation with Aravot.am, AWAY President Lilit Asatryan said that the network of women entrepreneurs in our country has been established by the AYWA, which is the full member of the World Association with the same name. Note that this organization is the world’s largest and the most influential one as a worldwide structure of women entrepreneurs. Lilit Asatryan said that conferences sponsored by this structure are attended by a number of celebrities, to the point, with the exception of Laura Gucci, the princess of Kuwait will also visit Armenia to attend this Conference, who is the President of the Arab Women Entrepreneurs Association and is one of the world’s 100 most famous Arab women, who is also known as a great benefactor.
To the question of Aravot.am about what this conference will produce and the visit of celebrities to Armenia and the Armenian women entrepreneurs, Lilit Asatryan said, “Firstly, it will have an impact on the rating of Armenia. In addition, I have great expectations that our country will present a big interest for major entrepreneurs, to implement partnership projects in the framework of women entrepreneurs and in terms of investments.”
To the next question of specifically which industry of the economy raises an interest among the world-famous women entrepreneurs who travel to Armenia, Ms. Asatryan assured that the scope of their interests is very different, ranging from textile, fashion, education up to information technology and energy. Lilit Asatryan said that the conference will be an extensive one, which will focus on women’s entrepreneurship development issues. They also plan visiting the Armenian manufacturers and an Expo-Exhibition with the possibility of organizing bilateral and multilateral meetings, business meetings, during which it will be possible to find partners, as well as there will be an exhibition of female artists. AYWA will organize a cultural program to introduce Armenia’s cultural heritage to foreign participants.
The events of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs, as said by Lilit Asatryan, are organized in many countries around the world: Russia, European countries, Tunisia, Morocco, Germany, Bahri and elsewhere, under the auspices and with the participation of the Presidents, the First Ladies, or the kings. In Armenia, it will be organized under the auspice of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
To our question about what incited this world organization to organize such an event in our country, Lilit Asatryan said, “Simply, such a decision was made by assessing us, the Women Entrepreneurs Association. Moreover, this Conference will be attended by the Board members of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs and the members the World Committee, famous woman entrepreneurs, representatives and experts from government agencies, financial institutions, international organizations and civil society. Representatives and ambassadors of international organizations to Armenia.” Note that the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs unites women entrepreneurs of about 120 countries around the world, covering more than 5 million women. This organization, as said by Ms. Asatryan, has a consultative status at the UN, Council of Europe, the International Labor Organization and the European Parliament.
