Any show that contains a remarkable intrigue and a demand turns to be pleasant and acceptable, especially when it is performed in the classical art. Once, the opera singers Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras, being adhere to the theater, concurrently established their program consisted of tenors by traveling all over the world. Or, renowned sopranos Kallen Esperian, Cassello and Lawrence formed a trio, again gaining a great demand and reception in the world.

In 2010, soloists Marine Deinyan, Magda Mkrtchyan and Nune Badalyan from Al. Spendiarian Opera and Ballet Theatre, for the first time in our reality, with the Opera Theatre Orchestra conducted by Karen Durgaryan, performed the “Three Soprano” program. To the point, composer Stepan Shakaryan had done a lot of work by developing famous works of Komitas, Melikian, Dolukhanyan, as well as the works of Western European composers for this trio. Recently, we learned that the National Opera Theatre will host the “Soprano Gala” evening on May 19. “Aravot” met with the MC conductor Harutyun Arzumanyan, who said that the leading soloist and laureate of international competitions, Lilit Soghomonyan has joined the soloists of the “Three Soprano” program performed earlier, honored artists of Armenia Marine Deinyan (in the photo) , Nune Badalyan and Magda Mkrtchyan.

To our curiosity about the works that this time these 4 soloists performed, the conductor noted that this program is radically different from the “Three Soprano” program. Three of the sopranos will perform together only at the end of the concert by performing a piece from Richard Strauss “The Knight of the Roses”. Separately taken, arias from non-performed or rarely played operas in the world will be performed, for example, Charpentier’s “Louise,” Giordano “Andrea Chénier,” Puccini’s “Turandot”, “Manon Lescaut,” Dvořák ‘s “Rusalka” and so on,” informed Harutyun Arzumanyan. He also added that this is a unique “concert” session for young musicians. To the question as to why the program has not included arias from Armenian authors’ operas, the conductor replied, “All four singers are engaged in the repertory performances of the opera-theatre, including Chukhajyan’s “Arshak II,” A. Tigranyan’s “Anush”, “Davit-Bek”, Spendiarian’s “Almast” and A. Harutyunyan’s “Sayat-Nova”.

Harutyun Arzumanyan assured that the musicians of the orchestra are working with enthusiasm. He stated that the Orchestra (concertmaster – Honored Artist of Armenia Gayane Abrahamyan) recently performs other programs, including for the schoolchildren. For example, recently, the orchestra conducted by Atanes Arakelyan gave a concert with the high school children at the House of Chamber Music dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Music Specialized School after Spendiarian, under the project “The Art of Opera at Schools”. In 2014, we gave concerts to the schoolchildren not only in the capital but also in Vanadzor and Gyumri. Furthermore, a program for the minor audience was also performed, entitled “The Tale is Calling”.
