Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan standing on the verge of bankruptcy learned from the press that the former prime minister, the US Ambassador of Armenia to the U.S.A. Tigran Sargsyan has sued him. Note that according to the claim, on March 24, 2015, Paylak Hayrapetyan has made a defamatory statement containing false information about Tigran Sargsyan that does not meet the reality on shamshyan.com news.
In particular, Paylak Hayrapetyan has mentioned that “Tigran Sargsyan should come to investigate and clarify on what he has done with 7 million and 500 thousand dollars, which was put onto his account…” In the interview with Aravot.am, the businessman did not deny his statement, he repeated again and said that it is not only him to say so. “The whole world has sais, so did I, what happened to this money … this money was put onto the accounts of Ashot Sukiasyan and Kchoyan, it’s true that now they fabricate that there is no such a thing, but I have not said anything from me, I have said it based on the documents. Ashot Sukiasyan has told that he has done it so that the prime minister and the clergy would become his roof. Let him prove that it is not so, and I will keep silent.”
To our question of whether the one million drams requested by the former prime minister for the slander is not much, the businessman said, “Well, if his morality is one million, of course, it is not much. One million drams is nothing for morality. I still have not received the court’s notice, I’m looking forward to it.” Note that in 2009, a meeting-consultation with the leaders of 23 industrial companies headed by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan was organized at the Ministry of Economy, with Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, in which they discussed the loan of 500 million dollars allocated to Armenia by Russia, of which 100 million was to be given by Russia in the form of commodities – raw diamond. Paylak Hayrapetyan has suggested pawning his whole real estate worth of 33 million dollars and has given approximately 10 million dollars received from “Ameriabank” to Ashot Sukiasyan, who took the money and fled the country.
