“Regime” supporters

June 19,2015 12:04

The story associated with PAP has been repeatedly interpreted. But to associate a few months political developments with one business entity, his dealing or nor dealing with politics, it seems to me it would be an overly simplistic approach. If there are really people in the opposition who want something to be changed in our country, apart from demanding “immediate withdrawal of the regime,” should realize on what this “regime” underlies. This probably would be necessary prior to raising the next wave and be broken once again.

However, what has happened in the first half of this February. To answer this question, we need to compare the second president Robert Kocharyan’s work activities then and now (again, not to focus on the personality, but simply as a vivid example). Let’s recall. He used to talk on various subjects: economic policy, constitutional amendments, Permyakov; there are also purely populist references: speedometers, red lines and so on. The same subjects were also developed by Kocharyan-supporting websites and individual advocators.

And all of a sudden, this entire political activity declined sharply. There are no objective reasons for it. The government seems not to give up with constitutional amendments (although, who knows?), the economic situation continues to remain bleak, Permyakov has not surrendered to Armenia’s justice, law-breaking drivers continue receiving “papers on being fined” and complaining. If the reasons for criticism are left, then why are they no longer voiced by appropriate circles? Hence, something has been changed outside Armenia. Or, more precisely, those who nurse hope on this “outside” were made to understand that these hopes are hollow.

But if the activities of pro-government and opposition forces are purely due to what would be told from Moscow, then there is no need to expect extraordinary flashes of the thought or some kind of sincerity from them. You either are politicians of an independent state or are engaged in fraudulent activities to win the favor of the “leadership” sitting in the Kremlin. The remaining exclamations (“oh, the percentage of poverty,” “oh, the migration”) are pure spices.

If short, those who voted in the Parliament in favor of the EaEU, they have voted in support to their favorite or non-favorite “regime”.
