“We have forgotten that the art is for thrilling above all. Nastassja Kinski reminds us about it,” says film critic, RA Distinguished Artist David Muradyan. We have already informed you that German actress Nastassja Kinski is currently in Armenia. She is the honored guest to the 12th “Golden Apricot” Yerevan International Film Festival together with Italian actress Ornella Muti. Today, N. Kinski was at the Cinema House “Hayastan” for the screening of Roman Polanski’s “Tess” movie, where she plays the role of the main character. Before the screening, the actress expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome. “This is my first visit to Armenia and I am so touched, all of this is so wonderful. It is also my pleasure to be here with Ornella Muti,” said N. Kinski.

The actress has had many successes in life. She says that when the success comes to us, we should be able to accept it fully. “The way it is wonderful to stay young, so it is hard to grow up. Growing up is also a challenge, and we must be careful not to slip and make mistakes. “Tess” is about a girl who should be strong. This difficult part is that there is always the risk to slip, but we need to believe in life and ourselves, especially in hard times”, – she said. “We are all gathered here to see and hear an actress, who is loved by millions of people around the world. An actress whose talent has a stellar height and a depth of the sea”, this is how David Muradyan began introducing N. Kinski to the audience. In response to these words, Kinski called Muradyan a poet, and the Founding Director of the “Golden Apricot” film festival, Harutyun Khachatryan, jokingly said that the actress has fallen in love with Muradyan upon arrival. “Kinski perhaps is one of the symbols of feminine beauty, – continued D. Muradyan, – but I’ll tell you a secret that the woman’s beauty is doubled when the talent is added to it. In the case of N. Kinski, we have a doubled beauty.” D. Muradyan says that when watching the films in the participation of this actress, he almost always gets the impression that she knows something that does not tell us. “She tells what the role demands, but beyond that she knows one thing does not tell. And what is not told becomes more attractive, more exciting and magical,” opines the film critic.
