July 16,2015 16:00

“Art is a universal thing, and I’m happy that I’m in it,” says the German actress Nastassja Kinski. She, as we have already mentioned, is an honored guest to the 12th “Golden Apricot” film festival hosted in Yerevan. Today, in the press conference with the journalists, the actress told that she was in the film since she was 12 years old. “At that time, a boom of success and achievements began for me. Of course, I have had also downs, like everyone else, and it is normal. I accept them as a part of life road,” said Kinski. She is now preparing a series of documentaries about the athletes. She believes that the athletes are a good example to others in terms of the perception of ups and downs, victories and defeats. “You can learn a lot from them, for example, how they fight and how long way they pass to achieve their dreams. Success is a very good thing, but we must also learn to lose, then to stand up again and continue. You should also know what victory is and what defeat is, too. You know what, we, first of all, need love and peace and be together. You should be able to be with those whom we love, we should work, dream and never give up,” emphasized she.

The actress considers her being in Armenia especially this year special. “I am happy that I will be sharing this period with you. I know that you are marking the centennial of the Genocide this year. I was very interesting to meet with different countries’ culture ministers in Armenia thanks to UNESCO… I have many things to say about my first visit, but I do not know how to say. There are so many things to see and learn here. Sometimes, it seems to me that I know the people here and I know a lot about them.” To the point, last night N. Kinski has “run away” from the hotel and gone for a walk alone in the streets of Yerevan. To the question of the journalists of why she was alone, she replied that she likes to walk alone in unfamiliar cities. “Yerevan is very hospitable and open, there are freedom and joy here. I, of course, like to walk with my friends too, but I also like to be alone.”

Back to the “Golden Apricot” festival, the actress said that she see an “international beauty” in it. “It is pleasant to see how it connects people living in different parts of the world together. To the point, I also like the fact that the “Golden Apricot” festival uses the apricot as a symbol. My friends have donated me a big basket of apricots, they even meet me at the airport with apricots. And it was very interesting,” said the actress.
