The European Weightlifting Championship for below 15 and up to 17 years launched in the city of Landskrona, Sweden. Today, in the competition of 15-year-olds, in the category of 56 kg, Armen Grigoryan and Rafik Harutyunyan entered the rug and both of them became winners. Armen in snatch and clean and jerk lifting, respectively, lifted 94 and 117 kg, and with a total of 211 results in snatch, clean and jerk combination, he won the European champion title in his age group. Rafik demonstrated a sporting will, who won the third place by 87 kg after the snatch and surrendered the Georgian opponent. However, he made a good push. Rafik lifted as much as his teammate Armen – 117 kg, and in snatch and clean and jerk lifting of 204 kg, he overreached the weightlifter of the neighboring country and raised on the level of a vice-champion of the pedestal of honor. Yesterday, in the same age group, our team member Babken Bagratyan was satisfied with the 6th place in the 50 kg category by lifting 173 kg.
