Russia-based Armenians to torn off the Georgian ribbons from the vehicles

To spend Vardavar (Transfiguration) in Armenia and in homeland, the Russia-based Armenians arriving in Tavush Region who have the Russian citizenship, said that the police patrols in Georgia tore off the Georgian ribbons from the windshield of their vehicles. Note that the George ribbon which has the badge of St. George on it was founded in 1776 by the order of Queen Catherine II. It has been given to the Russian officers who were distinguished for their feat of arms. This ribbon has lived its renaissance in 1942 when the Soviet government awarded the “Georgian ribbon” to the military units and ships of guardian title.
