The PAP faction MPs met the President Serzh Sargsyan at Baghramyan 26 to discuss their views on the draft of Constitutional amendments. In the interview with Aravot.am, the PAP spokesman Vahan Babayan conveyed that they are very pleased with the outcomes of the meeting. “During the meeting with the President, we have discussed our observations and made our recommendations.” As to what recommendations were made by PAP and how Serzh Sargsyan responded to them, Vahan Babayan did not open the brackets, “This is a process and a discussion phase, into which we have entered, and the process will show everything. I am pleased with the outcomes of the meeting. ”
We clarified whether there were concessions by Serzh Sargsyan to PAP party that they are pleased, Vahan Babayan replied, “I am not authorized to say more.” As to what specific concerns the PAP has expressed regarding the draft, Vahan Babayan noted, “The remaining issues regarding expressing the final view of our party is clear that everyone is waiting for the next week to meet with Vardan Poghosyan at the parliamentary faction, which will be followed by a political Council sitting, which will discuss issues related to the final view of the party, and only after that we will express it.” Note that the PAP meeting with Serzh Sargsyan lasted about an hour.
