On August 31, the ARF members met with members of the Commission on Constitutional Amendments. In the conversation with Aravot.am, Aghvan Vardanyan, the representative of the ARF Supreme Body of Armenia attending the meeting, said that the issue related to the electors, which almost all the political forces were concerned about, can already be considered resolved. “I think the problem of the voters is solved by 99 percent, the Parliament shall elect the President. However, we are thinking over the formulation and the solution that if in the future we would be able to ensure the involvement of Diaspora, this door will not remain closed. Now, we need to formulate in the way to determine the mechanism and make it possible thru the involvement of Diaspora.”
