On September 2, Azerbaijani armed forces mortared in the direction of the cemetery of village Berkaber, Ijevan region. Two tombs suffered from this mortar shelling. The bullets hit one of the tombstones and destroyed the fencing of the tomb. The Azerbaijani released mortar shelling destroyed another tomb fencing, the bullet hit the photo of a recently buried woman. The Berkaber village community leader, Arthur Madatyan, said that it is impossible to understand the mentality of Azerbaijanis for opening a target fire on the cemetery at the distance of 400-500 meters, from the other bank of the Joghazi reservoir.
