As we have already informed, the autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) has launched. In her opening remarks, Anne Brasseur, the President of PACE, expressed concern over the cases of human rights violations in Azerbaijan and the prosecution of persons involved in the protection of human rights. Anne Brasseur emphasized, “It is high time Azerbaijan changed its attitude to human rights.” Then, Ms. Brasseur stated that a number of new delegates are attending this session of the Assembly. Note that, for instance, RPA member Samvel Farmanyan substitutes the Armenian delegate to PACE Arpine Hovhannisyan appointed the RA Minister of Justice.
