October 18, Warsaw will host the Wiktoria 2015 International Competition named after a Polish singer and pop star Anna German. A Gyumri opera singer Leonora will represent Armenia. She had received the invitation to this Competition by the “World Performing Art” Association. Aravot.am learned about this from the singer. She will perform Bach-Kunoy “Ave Maria”. Leonora said that the participants will perform songs exclusively from Anna German’s repertoire. Note that Anna German have become popular by singing songs in different languages, first of all in Polish and Russian languages. “The artist should perform on stage with emotions and understanding the meaning of the words. I have no excitement and fear prior to the competition. My excitement will turn into joy when I bring another victory for our country,” said Leonora in the conversation with us. Note that on September 13-17, in Sofia, Bulgaria, at the Grand Prix 2015 international competition, which was attended by the best singers from 10 countries: Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Serbia, and Romania, the “Grand Prix” was awarded to the Gyumri lyric soprano Leonora. She had performed Komitas’s “Krunk” and Luigi Arditi’s “Il Bacio” (The Kisses).
