“Russia’s influence on Armenia’s political decision is evident and decisive. If Russia continues this aggressive posture contrary to international security rules, Armenia can be perceived as a Russian target as we are a state where there is a Russian base … We did not have the Armenia-Turkey border, it de facto continues to be Russia and Turkey border, it can also become a confrontation border during the West-Russia conflict,” opines human rights activist Arthur Sakunts.
In his words, there is already a tension in Russian-Turkish relations, which can result in an escalation in relations of international coalition and Russia against Assad regime. According to Arthur Sakunts, over the territories where the Russian military aircraft was carrying out flights, the anti-Assad coalition support force are resided – the Turkmens. “This issue was raised by Turkey at the UN Security Council and NATO. It seems that Russia ignoring these steps began independently implementing actions, which were responded. Russia evidently supports the Assad regime and now, it is bearing the consequences of its politics.”
