The number of “yes” voters is the most in Yerevan. CEC Data

Yesterday, December 6, the Central Election Commission issued the preliminary figures of the results of the referendum held in Armenia by marzes and precincts. According to this information, “yes” and “no” votes were the highest in Yerevan, 207507 votes (or 52.92% of citizens participated in the election) and 161720 votes (or 41.24% of voters) respectively. 21823 ballots were declared cancelled, and 570 contained an inaccuracy. 392119 people attended the referendum in Yerevan or 46.36 percent of people having the right to vote. According to the CEC data, the ‘yes’ voters were mostly in Ararat marz, with 112858 votes, or 77.93 percent of persons having the right to vote. 28532 (19.70%) people voted “no” in this marz. 3312 ballots were declared cancelled. 217792 people were registered in the voters list, but 144821 (66.50%) people attended the referendum.

Despite Gyumri has mostly voted “No”, however, by the total indicator of marzes, “no” was mostly voted not in the Shirak marz, but in Lori – 43149 votes (39.20%). 61913 (56.24%) people in Lori voted “yes” to the draft of Constitutional amendments. 238055 people in this marz had the right to vote, but 110084 (46.24%) people attended the referendum. Pursuant to the data by the Central Election Commission, the most active participation in the referendum was provided in the pre-election campaign headquarters of the “yes” camp, RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s birthplace Ararat marz (66.50%). The second place goes to Syunik marz (61.14%). The lowest participation in the referendum was provided in Shirak marz. 230560 people were eligible to vote there, but 95144 (41.27%) was attended.
