To the question of Aravot.am that the constitutional referendum process and the results, which were assessed negatively by several prestigious observation organizations like PACE and EPDE, so how it will affect our country’s reputation, especially now Armenia needs investors, Chairman of the PR- Development Center, Hayk Kirakosyan, said, “It is high time not to take the observers serious.” In his words, “Let the Europe be delved in its own problems, they remind me of the famous saying, the dogs bark, but the caravan goes on, in other words, nothing essential.” Hayk Kirakosyan is sure that the outside investors do not pay attention to the assessments by such institutions long ago and where they see attractiveness, they invest.
Particularly in Armenia, the high-tech industry, where, according to Hayk Kirakosyan, there are favorable conditions for outside investors, “The employees compared to here are paid fairly modest, of course, it is high in comparison.” While the industries like mining, communications, energy, water, in which foreign entrepreneurs would express willingness to invest, then according to Hayk Kirakosyan, these industries long ago have their owners.
Aggressing the consequences of the amended Constitution, Hayk Kirakosyan said that it reminds him of the “process of getting Roquefort cheese.” “Roquefort cheese was obtained accidentally by leaving under unfavorable conditions, due to which it was covered with mold. But later they saw that it turned out to be a good thing. Now we have the precedent of getting Roquefort cheese from molded cheese because this time the principle of “don’t dig a pit for others, or you will fall in it yourself” functions. A soft pillow is put under the head of Mr. President and it is more than obvious that different forces are playing inside the ruling party. Now, I do not know whether the government authorities causes blindness or the greed, but the fact this arrow is directed against the main forces who make this Roquefort, we will all see it in a very short period of time.”
