The Gyumri “Shirak” football team has signed new agreements with three African and one Armenian football players. As informed by Shirak team spokesman Anna Tadevosyan in an interview with Aravot.am, 20-year-old Kouakou N’dri Marseille Lense arriving from Africa is a centerback who has also played for Cote D’Ivoire team. 18-year-old Sede Dion Junior plays in a forward zone, he is from Cote D’Ivoire “ASFA” club. This club trains good football players. 18-year-old midfielder Emmanuel Kouadio Kouassi is also from the same club. 20-year-old midfielder Sevak Parsadanyan from “Krasnodar” club, who has played for Pyunik – 2 for six months in early 2014, has also arrived in Gyumri.
Aravot.-am asked Anna Tadevosyan how the African youth is adapted in Gyumri, where they are staying and whether the Gyumri citizens do not cause trouble to them. Anna Tadevosyan said that the club is hiring houses for the football players, the Gyumri residents are expecting them. “The Gyumri residents are already used to “Shirak” team’s African people, they are looking forward to new players during every transfer window. The football players feel themselves very well in the city like real celebrities, everybody knows them and want to be photographed with them. Shortly after, they become Gyumri residents and begin speaking in Gyumri dialect, of course, they do not learn Armenian specifically, but when communicating they learn and begin to understand and speak very well,” said our interlocutor.
Note that during one of the games of the “Shirak” football club, the Gyumri residents raised a demand to the Gyumri “Shirak” football club player Yoro Lamine Ly from the Western African country of Senegal, “Yoro, Yoro, score a goal, hey guy, aren’t you a Gyumri resident, hey Yoro.” Note that on January 30, the Gyumri “Shirak” football club is planning to compete with one of the US most prestigious teams, “LA Galaxy”.
