Aravot.am asked Sir John Tusa, once the Executive Manager of the BBC World Service and the Barbican Art Center in London, who visited Armenia in the frame of the EU Eaters Partnership “Culture and Creativity” program, whether it was easy to write books (“The Nuremberg Trial,” “The Berlin Blockade”) along with his wife, the author of several bestsellers Ann Tusa) and whether there were no disputes. “It was very easy as she wrote the book, but the research was carried out by two of us,” said Sir John.
We asked Ms. Tusa whether they have preserved the tradition of reading newspapers in the morning with drinking coffee in the morning or they prefer reading e-newspapers, Ann Tusa said that she begins every morning with coffee and reading the “Times” newspaper, earlier they were buying 5-6 newspapers, now only one as they are disappointed with all that they are reading in the newspapers. “I am going to read print newspapers until the end of my life, even if I remain the only reader of the print newspaper in the planet… When reading the e-version of the newspaper, I often read the first paragraphs while in the print newspaper, the editor possibly places the mist interesting articles, let’s say, on the 16th page,” she said. We also asked John Tusa why he has not followed his father’s path (his father was one of the founders of the Bata shoe production) and preferred the journalism, and how his father reacted to the decision, the BBC prominent figure noted that being born in Czechoslovakia, it was a great horror for his father that his son is working for the BBC and makes success in this field.
