Did PACE go in a balancing way?

January 29,2016 19:13

NA opposition MP, Chairman of “Free Democrats” party, Khachatur Kokobelyan, does not think that PACE conducted a balanced policy by rejecting the report of the British parliamentarian and adopting the report by the Bosnia deputy on the Sarsang reservoir. “With their unit weight, political significance and influence in the context of NKR peace settlement process, they are very different and represent different problems,” – he said, in an interview “Aravot”, noting that Azerbaijan and Turkey have never been pleased with the  Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ work, but currently, there is no more efficient format for the settlement of the issue, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement should exclusively be within this framework. He also stressed that we need to be thankful to the OSCE Minsk Group for the statement addressed to the PACE, which had great influence on the PACE during the voting.
