Nationalism, xenophobia is not typical to us, the Armenians. We have serious “reservations” only to Turks and Azerbaijanis, and although I do not share these sentiments, however, I can understand it. The reason, I think, is not in these nations but in the politics of the leadership of modern Turkey and Azerbaijan.
In other matter, when I hear from the lips of our compatriots or read their written nationalist and racist description, it seems to me that it is done under the Russian influence. (Just like those who are under this influence have borrowed from certain Russian circles the words like “liberast” and “gayropa”)
Recently, one of the readers, without any information reason, “reminded” us that 99 percent of the Ukrainian government is composed of the Jews. The context was as follows: Russia is good but imperialist and Judeo-Masonic conspiracy is organized against it. First of all, the reader’s allegation is a perfect lie. But let’s assume it is true. What a terrible thing is there? Yatsenyuk’s government truly registered many failures but not because of his “national staff.” Should be Ukrainians be against if, let’s say, Saakashvili or Avakov had become a prime minister instead of Yatsenyuk and begun to flourishing the country.
Or, let’s assume if an ethnic Russian, Jewish, Georgian and Persian is appointed a minister in Armenia and serves the Republic of Armenia with great devotion, does not take bribes and kickbacks, and does not go into a businesses. Will we like it?
