The Armenian art and music will be presented in the USA

On February 10-19, 2017, Los Angeles will host RACHFEST-2017 Festival, which is a unique opportunity to present Armenia and the Armenian culture in the United States. RACHEST 2017 will be kicked odd in support of and cooperation with the Department of Arts and Music, Glendale Community College. The 10-day festival includes exhibitions of contemporary artists of Armenia by the initiative of the Chairman of Armenia’s Union of Artists, Karen Aghamyan.

As mentioned by the Director of State Chamber Choir of Armenia, Armen Arabyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, said that the State Chamber Choir of Armenia will also be represented at the festival, a symphonic concert is also planned, during which the works of Armenian composers will be performed. Several NGOs, including the Armenian branch of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society, were interested in and supported the event.

The main event of the RACHFEST-2017 is the International Music Festival named after Rachmaninoff which will be attended by young pianists from around the world. They will compete for prizes worth of 25000 USD. The finale of the festival will be held at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, it will be a unique concert in the participation of symphonic orchestra.
