Today Yerevan.today wrote that according to their information “in direction of Jabrail where the Armenian forces are conducting military operations, Azerbaijan uses irregular troops”, it is about the fighters of so called Islamic State.
The spokesman of the Nagorno Kharabakh’s president David Babayan in an interview with Aravot.am said that the information is not accurate, but it is not excluded that in armed forces of Azerbaijan there are fighters of extremist organizations: “We have such historical practice. In the army of Azerbaijan fought “Grey Wolves”, Chechen-fighters and also representatives of “Al-Qaeda’s” commander staff. The danger is that it is an alarm to the international community that in armed forces of Azerbaijan might be terrorists. That state has close relations with the terrorists”.

An expert in Arabic studies Armen Petrosyan mentioned that it is possible that Azerbaijan took out to the contact line militants with “unknown origin”. “But it is illogical to say that they are fighters of Islamic State, because the Islamic State ideologically is opposed to Azerbaijan. If ISIS would like to enter Azerbaijan, their first target will be the ruling elite of the state, because Azerbaijan’s current regime is Shiite, it means the first ideological opponent of ISIS. Azerbaijani authorities can take out to the contact line fighters with unknown origin, including the ones who fought in extremist groups in Syria and Iraq, it is not excluded the ones who fought with ISIS. Aravot.am also interviewed theologian Vardan Khachatryan, who recently announced that Azerbaijan will use Jihadists: “The fact that Islamists entered Azerbaijan, that there are people in Nakhichevan who will enter Georgia freely is said more than one time. A large number of Jihadists enter Turkey, they will leave Turkey for somewhere else, right? Do you imagine where they will go? If the Jihadists will fight against us, we must have an army, where the spirit level will exceed them. The slogan of Jihadists is “We need to sought more to die in the way of Allah, than others who want to live … Only in this case you will gain priority”.
Vardan Khachatryan added: “We look through the fingers to this. Jihadists must be sure that this is not the area where they can enter and butcher dozens of people. No matter where the Jihadists go they are being arrested. Turkey is not able to keep them inside of state, because they are explosive mass. If there is a conflict, which Turkey tries to stimulate as much as possible. No one hides that the day when Russian jet was shot in the Syrian sky, I emphasis the same day, the Prime Minister of Turkey Davutoglu and Cavusoglu came to Azerbaijan announcing that they have come to talk about Armenian-Azerbaijanian problems. Then the information was spread that they have tried to provoke and demand Azerbaijan to start full-scale war against Armenia. Everyone confirmed that information including Russia, the USA, the European Union. At that time the tanks attacked our positions. In the second stage, when Aliev met Erdogan, subversive groups attacked. Now Turkey and Azerbaijan contacted one more time, and yesterday happened what happened. How long we are going to lie to ourselves that there is nothing, and nothing will happen?”
