Today’s developments are the result of the fact that Azerbaijan’s goals completely failed,” opines Gegham Harutyunyan, Chairman of the Public Council under the RA Ministry of Defense. To our question of whether the cease-fire is possible at this stage, Mr. Harutyunyan said, “This time, the ceasefire regime should be ensured in the phase of negotiations and be strengthened with serious mechanisms, which will enable to control and avoid non-targeted assessments. Nevertheless, this should be a demand of the Armenian side.”
According to him, Azerbaijan is no more able to give new impetus to its operations, “It only remains to mislead its own people by propaganda, it will fail to mislead the world and save its face. There are already some arrangements with the mediation of Russia to cease the fire and for the negotiations, again to restore the ceasefire. ”
To our observation that according to official information, Azerbaijan continues firing in the direction of some regions by violating the agreement, Mr. Harutyunyan said, “It has always violated the agreements, it is not surprising to violate this time too, in any case, importantly that our army is ready for any development, we will force Azerbaijan to treat these problems more seriously.”
