“The handwriting of atrocities committed against civilians by the soldiers of Azerbaijani army is typical to the terrorist groups operating in Syria and Iraq, mostly to the “Islamic State,” says the expert in Arabic studies, Armen Petrosyan. According to the experts, it is not excluded that these soldiers extremist once have acted in the staff of extremist groups operating in the Middle East, including in the IS, and then passed to Azerbaijan through Turkey, and Azerbaijan used these extremist mass against the NKR. “There are hundreds, maybe thousands of Azerbaijanis in the ranks of a number of extremist groups, including the “Islamic State” terrorist organization regularly fighting in Syria and Iraq. And it is no secret.
Azerbaijani authorities have repeatedly tried to artificially reduce their number to avoid panic in the country. In the line of contact, it is possible that the Baku regime has used such militants given the poor morale-psychological atmosphere in its own armed forces and the fact that the Azerbaijani army is unable to solve its tasks by its own forces and applies to the measures banned by the norms of the international law: by bringing out non-conventional combatants to the battlefield: criminals and terrorists. However, as it is proved by the history and today, we are also witnessing that the Armenian armed forces are able to fight and win any kind of enemy, be they armed groups of a terrorist nature or regular army units,” noted Armen Petrosyan.
In his words, the international community must express an adequate posture for these events when Azerbaijan, using non-conventional weapons in its operations and combatants in the face of extremists and committing atrocities against the civilians, violates the Hague and Geneva conventions on international humanitarian law, “In this context, we simply cannot ignore this and not initiate required actions as when today the whole civilized world is fighting at the unprecedented highest level against the international terrorism, Azerbaijani authorities and other foreign players adjacent to them are using the international terrorism to solve their own problems.” In addition, the Artsakh Republic Presidential Spokesperson, David Babayan, said earlier that there are storm troopers in the Azerbaijani army.
