The Armenian delegates had prepared unpleasant surprises for Azerbaijanis in the OSCE workshop kicked off today in the city of Laynsvayler, German. Today, the head of the RA NA delegation to the OSCE PA, Artashes Geghamyan, and a member of the Armenian delegation Tevan Poghosyan left the country to attend the seminar on “Opportunities for OSCE PA and its members to provide a comprehensive support to the OSCE efforts in the conflicts, particularly the protracted conflicts” under the sponsorship of the OSCE PA German Bundestag and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Aravot.am asked whether we should expect any resolution or a statement or practical steps that will condemn the resumption of hostilities by Azerbaijan in early April, Mr. Geghamyan replied, “This is not an OSCE session to adopt a resolution or a statement but a meeting, a workshop. Hence, no statement can arise.” Mr. Geghamyan noted that quite a few materials translated in different languages will be submitted to the workshop participants, also, a separate material is prepared that reflects how murderer Ramil Safarov who hatchet Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan is receiving the title of s national hero.
According to Artashes Geghamyan, these materials are going to be a real bomb placed under Azerbaijan, “I am taking with me the book “The Karabakh front is unchanged” translated in seven languages where it is fully and fundamentally presented in the light of international law as to why the NKR declaration of independence is fully in compliance with the international law. The book addresses also the four-day war of Karabakh. Materials are collected where you can see Vladimir Kazimirov’s analytical article regarding the four resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council in 1993 on this issue. This analysis kills the statements by Azerbaijan. I am also taking with me my articles in several languages that refer to the analysis of the four-day war in April. All this will be distributed to all participants and will give a comprehensive answer for the most ill-wished person to the question of who was to blame for the recent war and what objectives Azerbaijan was pursuing.”
So, according to Mr. Geghamyan, quite unpleasant surprises are expected to Azerbaijanis. Tevan Poghosyan assured that they are planning to present condemning statements at the discussions during the workshop pertaining to recent hostilities by Azerbaijan. In conclusion, the MP said, “This is not an OSCE plenary session but preparatory works for the July plenary session. We are going to fight for this preliminary, first phase.”
