The second Forum of “Against Genocide Crime” was attended by the executive director of the Cambodian Information Center, Youk Chhang. He was a survivor of the Cambodian genocide. “I was a 14 years old teenager then when the Khmers came to our country. My sisters were killed. One of my sister’s stomach was open with a knife because she was eating a stolen food.
Even eating bread was a crime in Cambodia,” he recalls. He believes that the genocides in Cambodia and Rwanda are committed because the Armenian Genocide is not recognized. According to him, it is a discrimination since the tragic events happened hundred years ago have not yet been estimated. “I am a survivor of the Cambodian genocide. My sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles were killed as a result of this heinous crime. I have been a witness of these tragic events, and that is why I am now here in Armenia and I hope that our struggle will reach its goal,” said Youk Chhang.
