The contest was held in five nominations – violin, cello, piano, composition and conducting.

The Competition aims to attract maximal attention to young talented musicians and thus promote their career. The winners will perform at the legendary Berlin Philharmonic Hall with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.

It should be noted that the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, togetrher with New York Carnegie Hall,  the Vienna Musikverein, Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory has been considered one of the world’s best and most prestigious concert halls, its history is tied closely with the great conductor Herbert von Karajan’s name.

Members of the Jury were such famous musicians who began their careers at this Concert Hall – violinist Victor Tretyakov, cellist Leonid Gorokhov, conductor Mikhayil Yurovski, composer Krzysztof Meyer and others.

And as we’ve touched upon the Youth Orchestra’s Head, we believe it is also a proper thing to inform readers that (relatively recently created) Youth Orchestra’s Ensemble, – Alexander Haroutiunian Woodwind-Piano Quartet will be on a tour to China on May 10-23. Lilit Zakaryan (piano), Gevorg Avetisyan ( flute), David Gyulamiryan (clarinet) and Nikolay Poghosyan (fagot) will have six concerts in six cities of China.
