“I am for the complete arms embargo for all parties to the conflict in the region. Three Co-Chair countries of the Minsk Group: the US, Russia and France, can achieve it at the UN Security Council session. It would be right,”- said RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan in his interview with the Austrian “Die Presse” daily. In the interview with the reporters, referring to such prospects, Head of RA MFA CIS Department, Alexei Pavlovsky, said that at least there was no such official application, while the statements carry a declarative character. These days, several Armenian journalists are in the Russia capital Moscow under the “New Vision” project in cooperation with the mass media.
The Russian diplomat noted that Armenia accuses Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan accuses Armenia, but no one can present arguments. And as long as they are missing, he considers it quite difficult to understand what is really going on. In this context, the Russian official finds the fulfillment of the agreements obtained in Vienna positive which would enable to bring clarity to the situation.
