June 04,2016 17:47

“Turkey is such a dynamic country that we never knew what will happen until the end of the day when we wake up in the morning,” – said “Deputy Chairman of Peoples” Democratic Party of Turkey, and fellow party of Garo Paylan, on June 3 at the meeting with the reporters. He noted that a number of internal and external factors influence on Turkey’s domestic political life, “Certainly, the war waged in Syria and the issue of refugees affects us greatly. Every event going on in this region naturally affects us too.” Nazmi Gür said that Turkey’s domestic political atmosphere is always tense, “If we look from this perspective, then Turkey’s overall situation is a little scaring and void of hope, but our party is just for it.”

Referring to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Turkey on deprivation of immunity of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Nazmi Gür said that the final decision should be made by the President of Turkey, “This decision is an illegal decision, and in its turn violates the existing Constitution. We all know very well that the purpose of adopting this decision is to oust our party members from the parliament. When Mr. President will ratify this decision, then the decision will get into force. Our party position on this is very clear, we will not back away to the court and its decision. In other words, either we should regain the right to impunity or confine us, there is no other option.”
