“We already have a painful disease: when something positive or negative happens, they begin finding out why it happened. It is the bad manifestation of persecution. Now, Germany adopted the resolution condemning the Genocide with just 1 against and 1 abstained vote. It would be positive if there were no genocide,”- said Chairman of NA Committee on State-Legal Affairs, Hovhannes Sahakyan.
In his words, “Now, these people have recognized, so does the state. This is process after a pause that begins again. And so to say, the EU’s engine has recognized. I think this was a move that other EU member states holding and spreading democratic values should follow it. Now, to discuss whether it was done against Turkey or in his favor of, it is unnecessary. This is already becoming a manifestation of psychological stress. We should applaud it. I have said that this is an examination for Germany as a democratic state.” Hovhannes Sahakyan said that they need to move on silently to achieve the point that the whole world would recognize, after which they will automatically force Turkey to recognize it too.
