The presentation of Armenians smartphones kicked off two days ago. The event was organized modestly, no one said that it is a revolution in the IT industry. The goal that the phones and tablets gathered in Armenia be competitive in our and (why not) other countries’ markets must be welcomed, and moreover, it is desirable to promote it. Because it is not an import of sugar or gasoline, nor even mining.
It is a business based on knowledge, which I am confident that in the case of proper attention it can strengthen our country.
But let us look how a part of our society responded to this event. If we judge by the “Facebook grumblers” estimates, we can say that this part is mocking, ridiculing and pick on the initiative of our compatriots. The logic is roughly the same, which the Chairman of the Academy of Sciences is guided with: it is impossible to collect smartphone in this lousy country.” Interestingly, though the “eternal offended” slam Radik Martirosyan too, however, they are all the slaves of the same stereotypes and same prejudices. Actually, I believe that the only “restriction” of any person or any country is in our head and our thinking, otherwise, everything is possible.
The argument according to which nothing good is possible “under the tenure of this government”, of course, is lethal. I can imagine how difficult it is to live with this “politicized” poison in the heart. Certainly, “these authorities” are no good at all, nor were the predecessors and will be the successors, but if we look at all phenomena in Armenia from this perspective, then I’m afraid, we will constantly live under the aforementioned restrictive prejudices.

… During the hour of statements, lawmaker Tevan Poghosyan denying the “apocalyptic” rumors circulating abroad by some of our compatriots, told all those who wish and the skeptics that Armenia is quite a convenient country for tourism. The meaning, as I understand, is as follows: nothing has been changed as a result of this 4-day war; all the infrastructures that were operating for the tourists last year are operating in Armenia and Artsakh, there were no and will be no hostilities in Tatev or Gandzasar, and the outdoor cafés in Yerevan are as crowded in the evenings as last year.
Part of the compatriots living abroad is unaware of this and does not believe the disinformation. But the majority knows very well what is the real situation but does not want to hear about any positive phenomenon. Again, restricted thinking.
