A group of armed men from an opposition group called “Sasna Dzrer” stormed a district police headquarters in Yerevan early in the morning. On local residents in the interview with Aravot.am said that she heard bombs explosions early in the morning, approximetely at 5:00-5:30 am.
“I ran to balcony. Residents of the nearby buildings were also at their balconies. Soon sounds of fire were heard. Then, shortly after I heard sirens. I suppose they were police sirens. Shortly after sounds of fire were heard again”,- said she.

One of the members of “Sasna Dzrer” Pavel Manukyan confirmed that as a result of attack there is one victim.
“As a result of fire exchange”,- said Manukyan confirming that the situation is complicated,- “as the situation of the country”.
Soon the National Security Service announced that 2 hostages were released, one policeman was killed and two others were injured.
The group demands to release Zhirayr Sefilyan who is the leader of opposition group called “New Armenia. He was sentenced to 2 months imprisonment awaiting trial.
