Members of Founding Parliament who have seized regiment of the police patrol and inspection service are not going to surrender
In the interview with Aravot.am vice president of Founding Parliament, who is among the citizens who have seized regiment of the police patrol and inspection service, said: “At the moment the situation is relatively calm. We are waiting. It seems that they temporarily stopped the preparations for attack”.
As a result of seizure Police Colonel Artur Vanoyan was killed, several policemen sustained gunshot wounds. They are also holding as hostages Deputy Police Chief Vardan Yeghiazaryan and Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Valery Osipyan. Varuzhan Avetisyan told: “They had come to negotiate with us, we held them to ensure our security”.
In our question what would be their next steps if the authorities wouldn’t take into consideration their security guarantee, Avetisyan answered:”If they don’t take into consideration, they will open fire and we will answer by fire”.
