“This situation is reminiscent of October 27. I am totally against. I am asking the coup organizers to come to their senses, what they are doing will not turn to what they wanted. This is against the state and the country, this means to behead, a genocide against the state,” such opinion was expressed by Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of “Heritage” political party, in an interview with “Aravot.am”, referring to the armed actions organized by “Founding parliament”, during which they have seized the Erebuni administrative district police building and have taken RA Deputy Police Chief General Yeghiazaryan and Yerevan Police Chief Colonel Osipyan a hostage.
There is also one victim by the police. As mentioned by Mrs. Bakhshyan, “The government bears the responsibility for all this, which with its unreasonable moves – making a secret of negotiations and undermining – is talking about ceding territories. The government provokes the public to such moves by imprisoning those who make calls not to cede territories; it cuts the legs of its chairs and it bears the responsibility for this situation. These guys are patriotic and devoted but today, not finding any other way, they have to take such steps.” Anahit Bakhshyan said that as a person who saw March 1 she opines that the calls of the “Founding Parliament” to join the coup are extremely dangerous in the current situation because war is right under our nose, and such cleavages and instability inside the country should not be allowed.
Bakhshyan thinks that no change can happen in the country thru elections and legitimately, however, she personally is against the coups, revolution and rebellion, “Because there is a known truth: romantics make the revolution, and the rascals – enjoying the fruits. After any revolution, known from the history, has not formed a legitimate government, always the rascals enjoy the fruits. I believe in civilized developments, the civil society will develop and we will be able to overcome this government crisis thru elections”.
