This night, the tension in Khorenatsi Street persists and it periodically getting worse, which was due to the unresolved issue of food for the hostages inside the Patrol Service regiment and the members of “Sasna Tsrer” group.

Human rights activist Vardan Harutyunyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, commented on the tense situation during the night as follows: “All the time, during these days, there were talks that the authorities were to do everything to prevent the use of violence, the reality of force but essentially they did nothing, provoked collisions and the police officers took part in these collisions. Collisions that were unwanted and caused unnecessary tension in this tense situation, unnecessary hostility and unnecessary offense which could have been easily avoided in the case of manifesting a good will.”

As the Human rights activist mentioned, the one to make the first steps towards solving the problem was to be the authorities with their police and special services, “The authorities should have acted so that the people would understand that they are leading the problem to a peaceful solution and they are making steps in this direction and could not have caused unnecessary tension. “Starting minor everyday problems. It was not a problem at all that they could have solved the problem of food and avoid having this collision,” – said Vardan Harutyunyan.
