“There are some factual developments on Sefilyan’s matter. It is inspiring that there is a process that leads the current solution to a political solution,” – said Styopa Safaryan, political analyst and Director of the Armenian Institute for International and Security Affairs, in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to the negotiations between the authorities and the “Sasna Tsrer” armed group under mediation of Vitaly Balasanyan, an NKR National Assembly MP, – we made the society ill and now we want something to turn out. Should the society wish people’s death?
Should we increase the impasse for Pavlik and his son or decrease the opportunity of living in the society? It is obvious that both sides – the government and the guys – are at an impasse, this cannot last long. The government would be eager but is cannot initiate an attack as it sees that there is a public support. Furthermore, it understands what does attack mean against a group of 30 people. How many victim can we speak about? The boys in the impasse are unable to lead the masses,” – noted Safaryan.
According to our interlocutor, currently, a new political environment has been created, as the political parties did not act by the calls of attacking and breaking “Sasna Tsrer” at any cost, “Certainly, we can see that the forces willing to lead this process are not many. On the one side, it is weeping that those who consider themselves leaders can go there 5 days later. It turns out that the leader in Armenia is going in the end. First go people, then everybody and in the end, the leaders. This is also the reason why the public cannot trust the one who goes behind them. Let no one be offended that the rating of the political forces is close to zero. Despite the tragedy, a political environment was created.”
