The National Security Service (NSS) has issued the following statement:
“Despite the numerous calls to avoid committing new crimes, members of the armed group, who seized the Police HQ, continue harassment endangering the lives and health of law enforcement officers, as well as destruction of property. The chain of such actions on the night of July 26 led to a firefight, during which people have suffered.
The NSS states that the criminal behavior of the gunmen, which gradually becomes more and more dangerous, goes beyond all limits making it impossible to display reasonable restraint. Therefore, to prevent and thwart new crimes, from now on the NSS is forced to resort to tougher measures as dictated by specific situation.
Well aware of the intentions and planned criminal actions of the gunmen, we warn that all threats to the lives and health of people will be immediately neutralized by legitimate counteractions.
