Pavel Manukyan and his son are facing with the threat of 6-12 years in prison

Members of “Sasna Tsrer” – Pavel Manukyan and his son Aram Manukyan – accused by Criminal Code, Article 219, Part 3 (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) and Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices).

According to the accusation, the punishment by Article 219 is imprisonment for the term of 6-12 years, and by Article 235 – for the terms of 3-8 years. Shorty, the court decided on the arrest against Pavel Manukyan’s son, Aram Manukyan, as a measure of restraint. Father and son are currently in “Erebuni” Medical Center.

This was told to Aravot.am by their defender, attorney Inessa Petrosyan. According to her, the NSS has already submitted a petition for Pavlik Manukyan regarding the arrest as a measure of restraint, however, it is not yet known when the court hearing will take place.

As Inessa Petrosyan said, Pavlik Manukyan despite his serious health problems expressed a desire to be present at the court. We asked the lawyer why he wants to be present, she said, “Any person for whom a motion is submitted to the court about a measure of restraint has the right to be present at the discussion of the motion. And Pavel Manukyan has expressed a desire to be present.

The health condition of both is bad, they are connected to artificial respiration.” The lawyer said she has talked to her clients about the incident and stated that the conversation is not for publication.
