“Pavel’s serious firearm wound will further incite the public.” Avetik Ishkhanyan

July 28,2016 12:35

Human rights activist Avetik Ishkhanyan is convinced that the authorities have not learned lessons from the tense incidents and collisions of last days and further incite the public with their actions, “I have the impression that the authorities ignoring the public and being cut off from reality further radicalize the society. The solution of the current situation could be more civilized, could be by step-by-step dialogue and recommendations, which did not happen.

The first half step was done, and it was the NSS statement to avoid the possible punishment, but there was no clarity and everything was variable, but a clear question was to be made that no one was going to bear responsibility for these actions, it was a political decision and only Colonel Arthur Vanoyan’s death circumstance will undergo objective examination, and why not, also with the involvement of international experts and so on. But the authorities conducted a selective manhunt, thru intimidation, act in a more dangerous way without declaring about winning in a possible manner of force, instigate to skirmish. I do not believe that the armed group would attack the police forces, as to how all has happened, as they say, the investigation will show, but actually no investigation will detect. As a result, the situation is heating up and the solution is becoming more complicated. The word “concerned” in this situation is put mildly, I am extremely worried,” – said the human rights activist to Aravot.am. According to him, the failure of the group is the failure of the statehood, and we all have appeared in a serious situation, “Especially, Pavel’s serious firearm wound will further incite the public.”
