Armenia’s Ministry of Healthcare issued another statement calling on the members of the armed group to release the hostage doctors who had earlier entered the seized police regiment to provide medical aid to some of the wounded members of the group.
The statement one again stresses that the fact of taking doctors hostage is within the confines of humanitarianism and is unacceptable worldwide.
“The RA Ministry of Healthcare joins the calls of numerous citizens and the medical community to demand the immediate release of the doctors in hostage without any preconditions,” reads the statement, adding that the discreet step of releasing one of the paramedics received positive feedback from the public.
The ministry also highlights the necessity to create proper conditions for organizing the treatment of the wounded members of the armed group in hospitals.
