Pavlik Manukyan has declared a hunger strike and refused taking pain-killing medications

Pavlik Manukyan, a member of “Sasna Tsrer” group, has declared a hunger strike. This was said a few minutes ago by Inessa Petrosyan, Pavlik’s lawyer, in an interview with Aravot.am.

Note that  Pavlik Manukyan and his son, Aram Manukyan, were accused by the RA Criminal Code, Article 219, Part 3 (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) and Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices).

The lawyer said that Pavel Manukyan has refused to take pain-killing medications.

Note that the lawyer was not allowed to see Pavel Manukyan since the morning, but later, during the day, however, she was allowed. As to when the measure of restraint against Pavel Manukyan will be determined, Inessa Petrosyan said that it depends on his health state.

Inessa Petrosyan also informed that shortly a few minutes ago, First Instance Court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts upheld the petition filed by the National Security Investigation Department. The court decided on an arrest for the term of 2 months as a measure of restraint against Pavel’s son, Aram Manukyan.
