“A1+” reporter. “The explosives were aimed at the target of cameras of reporters.”

Robert Ananyan, a reporter of “A1+”, in an interview with Aravot.am, told how they have become aggrieved during the live broadcast when covering the collision of the police and the protesters in Sari Tagh area on July 29. “We also suffered from the explosives, the police are not trying to avoid the reporters from being affecting. It looked like the aimed explosives were thrown towards the lights of the reporters’ cameras. You can see it in our video. A few explosives exploded very close to me. I was injured in the right leg, also on the right hand. I know that our cameraman Tigran Badalyan was also wounded. Although the pain in different parts of his body, he decided to stay and continue his work,” – said Robert Ananyan.

He added that they tried to escape the explosives, while the inhabitants of Sari Tagh area treated his wounds and one of them suggested to take him to the hospital. “On the way to the hospital, the police stopped the car and disallowed to keep driving, although we stated that we are journalists and are going to the hospital. Using brutal force and intimidating with batons, they made us get off the car. We continued the way on foot. In the meantime, the editor-in-chief of 1in.am came who had brought an ambulance for their injured reporters. And I was also taken to the hospital on the same car,” – said Robert Ananyan.
