Lilit Galstyan about the decision of “Sasna Tsrer” to lay down the arms

August 01,2016 09:39

All members of “Sasna Tsrer” group were taken out from the Patrol-Sentry Service regiment territory. Varuzhan Avetisyan had declared about laying down the weapon at 20:00 and to come out, and this step has its substantiation: to avoid further bloodshed. Aravot.am asked AEF party member, former NA deputy Lilit Galstyan to comment on the incident.

“I think that this was the most reasonable decision in this situation to avoid further bloodshed, international conflict and confrontation, as well as finding such peaceful solutions by strengthening nationwide efforts with internal unanimous consent, where our people and the country indeed need the demand for it. I want to be repeated again to say what I am saying 13 days ago when the armed group had just entered the regiment. Yes, there is a need for deep and radical changes in the country. And both the government and the opposition realize it, however, the public gives the order. The country should undergo radical changes: to create a country where the citizen’s rights and dignity would be protected and social justice will exist, but these problems cannot be solved with weapons and internal bloodshed.

I think that the performed move about which Varuzhan Avetisyan also mentioned is the most reasonable decision: to bring the country to peace thru at least minimum losses and then to be able to achieve decisive and substantial solutions in a civilized way. Is it not obvious that alongside the NKR peace process, internal instability and riots are direct blows to the country’s sovereignty and national state interests. Anyway, it is appreciated that the group members had the sound judgment of terminating these activities for the same of the statehood,” – said the ARF member.

Lilit Galstyan also added, “We do not have the resources to lead people to moral stress and despair, we must be able to save it and the victories and the statehood acquired by our hard struggle and blood. Our homeland is miserable, it is worthy of love and endearment … Indeed, there is energy in Armenia to change something… Charents words are in my mind every second about our inaccurate march, and I felt pain for our unguided people in the street… We must be able not to lose our national civilization description, and in the country, yes, there is much to edit.”
