The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan visited Pavel and Aram Manukyans at the hospital for inmates, the Ombudsman’s office informs.
“Private meetings were held with them. The detention conditions, as well as the condition of provision of medical treatment were examined.
Pavel and Aram Manukyans didn’t present any complaints regarding the medical staff and the penitentiary administration.
To note, the Ombudsman’s representatives continue visits to members of the group in detention,” reads the message of the Ombudsman’s office.

To remind, Pavel and Aram Manukyans are charged under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RA Criminal Code (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication by an organized group) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by an organized group). The crimes are punished with imprisonment for the term of 6 to 12 and 3 to 8 years respectively.
They have been taken to the hospital for inmates from Erebuni Medical Centre.
